Product Details

Eye Envy® ProGlide Finishing Comb is a professional-quality, 8.75" dual-sided grooming comb designed for dogs with longer coats. Its long 38 mm (1.5"), closely spaced, smooth tines glide through delicate drop coats, silky coats, and fine double coats to remove tangles, mats, and debris without damaging the coat or skin. Extremely lightweight yet durable, it’s ideal for everyday grooming, line combing, and finishing work on all coat types, but is especially suited for longer, delicate coats such as the Havanese or Yorkshire Terrier. It captures fine loose hairs, smooths out mats, and leaves the coat shiny and silky.

Dual-Sided Versatility
One comb does it all—detangles, demats, and finishes. Start with the wider-spaced side (43 teeth, 2 mm apart) to gently release larger knots, then switch to the extra-fine side (62 teeth, 1 mm apart) to smooth out smaller snarls and perfect your grooming work.

Groomer & Breeder Approved
Trusted by professionals, show exhibitors, and at-home groomers alike, this comb is an essential tool in grooming preparation work, which improves the results of scissoring to achieve perfection. It painlessly finds tangles, prevents matting, and works through even the trickiest spots, allowing you to achieve grooming excellence. Eye Envy 8.75” ProGlide Finishing Comb is a must for competitive grooming and show exhibitors.

Professional Quality Construction
Crafted from durable carbon steel, the Eye Envy ProGlide Finishing Comb won’t rust and is built to last. Featherweight yet solid, it offers the perfect balance of control and comfort during grooming sessions and feels great in the hand.

Did you know?

Regular combing doesn’t just make your pet’s coat look beautiful — it’s essential for their skin health, too. Mats and tangles can trap dirt, moisture, and bacteria close to the skin, leading to irritation, hot spots, and even infections. Using a high-quality comb with long, smooth tines helps remove loose hair and debris while stimulating natural oils, which promote a healthy, shiny coat.

How to Use

Daily combing helps ward off mats and tangles, distributes natural oils, and removes dead undercoat. Be gentle, especially around sensitive areas like the belly, legs, and tail. Pay extra attention to areas prone to matting.

Use the coarse side first and brush in the direction of hair growth to avoid pulling or irritating the skin.

Follow with the finer side to help tease out smaller knots and achieve the perfect finish.

To line brush and comb, follow these steps:

Step 1: Create sections or 'lines' of coat. Part the coat down to the skin to create 1-3 finger-width sections. Brush the section methodically, working either down from the belly or up for volume.

Step 2: Mist the coat with brushing spray. Lightly mist each section with a brushing spray. This lubricates the coat, preventing damage, static, and conditioning as you go.

Step 3: Brush your section with a pin or slicker brush. Brush each section from root to tip. Maintain consistency by brushing from left to right across the section.

Step 4: Comb your section with your comb. Comb every hair from root to tip across the section. Start with the wide teeth, then finish with the fine teeth to ensure no tangles remain.

Step 5: Create a new section of coat. Once a section is thoroughly brushed and combed from root to tip, create a new, even section.

Step 6: Repeat until all sections are brushed and combed. Continue this methodical process across your entire dog until all the coat is perfectly brushed and combed.
