For best results, use with Eye Envy Tear Remover Stain Powder, and for severe staining around the eyes and mouth, use with Eye Envy Tear Stain Facial Cleanser.

  • Apply the solution to the area around the eyes and in between skin folds
  • Cleans affected area and applies a natural antibacterial to fight bacteria

(Watch our video about products you should avoid when treating stains caused by discharge from your dog's eyes.)

Breeds usually affected by tear stain or dog eye discharge stains are Maltese, Shih Tzu, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Havanese, Bichon, Poodle, Samoyed, Pekingese, Pomeranians, Pugs, Bulldogs and other white/light-colored breeds. Watch our video to find out more.

Did you know?

Excessive tearing can be caused by many variables including food, the mineral content of water, allergies, sickness like dog infection, clogged tear ducts, teething and even fleas.

Just like in humans, it's normal for your dog's eyes to stay moistened with tears; however, when your dog's tears collect in the fur surrounding the eyes, the area becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. This long-term accumulation of dog eye discharge is often the culprit of causing stains. Left untreated, built-up dog eye discharge can lead to itchy irritation and even infection. While other products may mask the problem or simply remove dog eye boogers, Eye Envy Tear Stain Facial Cleanser, Tear Stain Remover Solution and Eye Envy Tear Stain Remover Powder battle the source of the problem for healthy, long-term results.

How to Use

Best used in conjunction with Gentle Action Applicator Pads for Dogs

Saturate the application pad with the Eye Envy® Tear Stain Solution and gently remove the debris from each eye, turning over the pad when switching from one eye to the other. Do not be afraid if the product gets into the eyes, it is completely safe.

Then work in Eye Envy® Tear Stain Powder until the area is dry.

Repeat daily until stains disappear – typically 7 days. For maintenance apply weekly to prevent reoccurrence.

We have been using Eye Envy tear stain removal products for our dog for 6 or 7 years a few times a week with very good results. However, for some reason, this past year it has not been very effective in getting the stains off, even when we've tried going back to using the powder and refrigerated liquid daily for a week. We always scrub it in with a toothbrush, too. Maybe at this point we need to use it daily for a couple of months - because it doesn't do the trick anymore. Not sure why. Maybe some dogs become resistant to it? Since this product is pretty costly, we are considering giving up on it after we finish up what we still have, but we don't know what else to use instead. Frustrating

Our 8-week old Samoyed puppy had very dark tear stains under both eyes. Our vet told us they would probably never go away. I consulted with a friend who's a Samoyed breeder and she said that the stains were likely caused when the puppy's tear ducts first opened, and recommended Eye Envy. We've been using the solution and powder (refrigerated) daily on his eyes and 7 weeks later his tear stains have completely vanished. I don't know if they would have gone away on their own, but for us, this product really worked. Thank you. Our beautiful puppy is even more beautiful.

I have been using the Eye Envy soap, solution and powder for about a week now. My Maltese had very dark red stains under her eyes, that got better then would appear again. I do use a supplement in her food, but felt it wasn't enough. I am seeing some improvement but am hoping for even better results than I am seeing at this point.

I first tried the non-refrigerated Eye Envy but didn't really notice that it helped that much. I then heard they had a refrigerated version that was suppose to be more effective. After using it a couple weeks I found it to better at reducing the staining.

The only other product I've used that worked was the Angel Eyes with Tylosin. But, that had an antibiotic and is no longer available and isn't safe for long term use anyway. My terri-poo had the worst eye staining I've dealt with. Her entire face turned that reddish-brown from the staining. My groomer recommended Eye Envy and I'm so glad she did. I noticed improvement right away and I could see the brown coming off onto the cotton pad. It took time, but eventually all the brown staining has disappeared. She gets it around her mouth, also, from her beard getting wet as she drinks. After I wipe her eyes, I quickly go over the mouth area and that staining has also disappeared. Her eyes still run and I have to stay on top of the cleaning, but can get away with every other day or every 2-3 days. This product is definitely worth trying and the price is fair, as well.

Hands down the best eye whitening product on the market. We have been using this product for the past nine years. My 12-year-old Maltese looks like a puppy after she is groomed. She is completely white and clean. No red eye staining any where. I recommend this product all the time to my friends.

This cleanser is the best one I have found for my elderly Cocker Spaniel. It is the refrigerated one, however, not the newer one that does not need to be refrigerated. The reviews all say that the older refrigerated product is superior. This cleanser followed by the white powder works. It is expensive but my Chloe is worth it!
